Belgian Tervuren

The Belgian Tervuren is a lively dog who is happiest doing something and especially if it be with his owner. They were bred to be a herding dog and those instincts are still geared to this task. Males vary from 24 – 26 inches at the shoulder and females vary from 22 – 24 inches. The Belgian Tervuren coat should be very thick and full. Once the adult coat has grown in, the texture makes care fairly simple as the thickness and straightness of the coat keeps it free from dirt and tangles. The colour of the coat is any rich shade of red with black highlights.

The Belgian Tervuren are very alert, agile and gentle with those they know and watchful of those they do not know.
