Bouvier des Flandres
The Bouvier des Flandres have a tousled, double coat capable of withstanding the hardest work in the roughest weather. The outer hairs are rough and harsh, with the undercoat being fine, soft and dense. Their coats range in colour from fawn to black, salt and pepper, grey and brindle.
Bouviers are big in size as well as big-hearted. They are strong and can think for themselves. The Bouvier is protective. He can sometimes be suspicious of other dogs. While he's not overly active in the house, he does need plenty of exercise. Country or suburban living suits him well.
Training is a breeze as this breed rates higher than average in learning speed and problem solving skills.
Weekly grooming with a brush and comb is required. The ears, nails and teeth require ample attention.
