Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

The Welsh Corgi (Cardigan) is smart, brave, calm, and forms a close bond with its family. They have short-hair which is weather-resistant and is shades of red, sable, and brindle; also blue merle or black.

The Cardigan Welsh Corgi likes to keep busy. An even temper and adaptability are his best qualities. He likes going along with his family on their activities. He tends to be somewhat serious. He is suspicious of strangers but gets along well with other animals.

This breed has been known to be somewhat reckless with other dogs. Early socialization is necessary in order for it to get along with cats and other household pets. It gets along fine with children.

Corgis are eager learners and quickly understand what is expected of them.

Occasional brushing to remove dead hairs is required.
